Enjoy an evening of high-flying comedy films from the golden age of silent cinema, the way they were meant to be seen: as a communal experience on the big screen with room-filling live accompaniment and a responsive audience.
Adam Swanson starts things off with a lush movie medley, then Frederick Hodges accompanies a lively 1929 Laurel and Hardy short: “Liberty,” where a
feisty crab in Laurel’s trousers becomes the least of his worries!
After a brief intermission, the full 11-piece Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra takes the stage and the high jinks continue as Harold Lloyd stars in the thrilling 1923 feature “Safety Last!,” which finds Lloyd going to great lengths (and heights) for the woman he loves.
