Your Festival Guide

The Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival is an annual event that runs Thurs-Sun on the weekend after Memorial Day. Located in the heart of historic downtown Sedalia, MO, the festival brings ragtime and early american music back to the streets where it was born. Throughout the days, attendees can hear FREE MUSIC on three stages: The Stark Tent and The Ohio Pavillion (outdoors), and the Katy Depot (indoors). At the Liberty Center Theater, festival-goers can attend TICKETED afternoon and evening concerts, as well as daily symposia. In addition to these events, we offer Historic Trolley Tours, Ragtime Dances, Saturday Morning (Silent) Cartoons, Costume Contest, and more!
